Be Sure, Your Sin Will Find You Out
It happened to me again this past week for the umpteenth time. The last time it happened, I promised myself it would never happen again, as long as I lived. So much for my promises, or maybe I died. I … Continue reading
Condemnation vs. Conviction
(John 16:8 NIV) When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: One of the jobs of a judge is to speak to someone who has been convicted. The judge will … Continue reading

Guilt and Shame
(1 Corinthians 15:34 NIV) Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God–I say this to your shame. The bible is the best selling piece of literature ever written … Continue reading
Sin is Still Sin
(Galatians 5:19-21 NIV) The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; {20} idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions {21} and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn … Continue reading
Stones made of Sand
Have you ever really wondered what Jesus wrote in the sand? I have. John 8 goes into detail about the woman who was caught in adultery. The obvious intention of her “stoners” was to stone her for this sin. Where … Continue reading

The Seduction of Sin
(James 1:13-15 NIV) When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; {14} but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged … Continue reading
Moment by Moment
Moment by Moment By Tim Russ It was a moment. Only a moment of weakness. He was so appealing. I could not resist his beauty. I fell into his arms, so strong, so alluring. We became one and I was … Continue reading

Free to Worship
(John 15:18-19 NIV) “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. {19} If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, … Continue reading
When it Becomes Personal, Not Just Business
I must be doing something right. Joyce Meyer spoke that maybe God brought that person into your life to shave the outer crusts off of you. Well, I feel shaven. Just when you least expect it, someone shows up that … Continue reading
Power in the Blood
(Heb 9:11-15) The Old Testament tells us about the tabernacle. It was a wondrous place where men could finally connect with God to perform a ceremony to cleanse them from the sins they had committed. There were detailed rules as … Continue reading

Do Not Judge
(Mat 7:1 NIV) “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. This is perhaps the most well known verse in the bible. Christians share it with each other all the time. Those in the world share it with Christians … Continue reading
Gracious Confusion
I was miraculously converted to Christianity through a two by four. While I was not exactly hit in the head with a piece of board I did receive a complete shaking of my life. The wonderful thing was that … Continue reading
At That Time
Luke 1:26-45 gives us the account of the conception of the Christ within the womb of his mother Mary. Our world is sharply divided over the issue of abortion. I have avoided talking about it most of the time because … Continue reading
The Woman Caught in Adultery
There is no doubt she did what they said, is there? It says she was caught in the act. It never says she is remorseful about it. There are no verses that she was a believer in Jesus or a follower of His teachings. Nothing indicates that she has a clue who this man drawing in the dirt is until she sees His authority in action and sees the people who accused her walk away defeated in their efforts. And even then, she calls him Lord – or teacher. That is like us saying, “Sir.” It was not an acknowledgement of faith, but it was a beginning. Continue reading
