We are coming up to a most strategic time of praying for Muslims -- the 30 days of Ramadan. This begins this year on November 6 and goes through December 5. The dates are different every year and are determined by the Muslim cleric leaders.

You are encouraged, prayer warrior, to fast and pray for Muslims during Ramadan.

Why would a believer want to pray during a Muslim holy season? Because it is the most strategic time for the Lord to move in response to our prayers.

Part of the Ramadan observance includes the increased sensitivity and openness of the Muslim worshipper to spiritual things. They look for spiritual manifestations -- angelic visitations, supernatural dreams and visions, etc. There is a "night of power," when they believe that on that night they will have a supernatural encounter of some kind. While this is a carte blanche invitation for demonic manifestation, it is also an important time for them to be open to a true visitation of the Spirit of God. Can they distinguish between the holy and the profane? That's where our prayers come in.

A SPECIFIC REQUEST TO MESSIANIC INTERCESSORS

For those who have a special anointing and call to pray for Israel, it is of utmost importance that you participate in this call to prayer. It is not disloyal to Israel to pray for the Muslims -- it is quite the contrary! Not only does the scripture mandate that we pray for our enemies, it is very, very practical to do so.

Think about it: When the enemies of Israel have peace, Israel has peace.

How will Muslims have peace without the Prince of Peace? The same Holy Blood that bought your salvation is not only available for the salvation of the Jew, but also the Muslim, too. It is my strong opinion that withholding prayers for the Muslim is not only unwise, but it is spiritually abusive to Israel. The enemy has cunningly sent a spirit of offense against many intercessors who have an anointing to pray for Israel, causing them to believe that they cannot be loyal to Israel AND crave salvation and blessings for her enemies. Wrong. You may be the ones most strategic to the success of such an initiative precisely because you do have an anointing to pray for Israel! As you have prayed for Israel out of love and obedience, you have also gained authority in the heavenlies. If your prayers for the Muslim are withheld based on misdirected loyalty, what hope does Israel have in effectively dealing with them? Israel's success in dealing with Muslims is fueled by your intercessions.

I bring this up because of the many conversations I have had with those who have a deep love for Israel, and their often corresponding deep distaste for the Muslim people. This cannot be made into a flesh-and-blood issue. These are ancient strongholds that will be brought down by our united prayers. While I certainly do not mean to sound overly-aggressive, I do not hesitate to bring up this crucial issue. I have not seen it addressed before in this light. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will prick our hearts to pray passionate prayers for these who are caught in the chains of Islam.

I urge especially you, intercessors for Israel -- plead with you -- join this initiative...for the sake of the Muslim, for the sake of Israel, for the Lord of the Harvest
