God Breaks
« on: October 26, 2009, 02:43:45 PM »
Often life gets so busy that we tend to lose track of everything, even ourselves.  It’s important that we stop the hectic lifestyle we’re living and spend a few moments with the Lord.  A quiet time.  This quiet time can be taken many times a day.  As we go through our days we take coffee breaks, we take lunch breaks, we take bathroom breaks.  Why not schedule a few God breaks?

(Psalms 46:10 NIV)  "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

For me, when I begin my day in quiet time with God, I feel His presence throughout the day.  I think that when we conciously make the start of our day with God, we keep Him in the center instead of letting the rest of our day get in the road.  I also think that he honors our effort.  I know that this is how it is for me.

Anyone else want to share how they take breaks with the Lord?   :)

I like to talk to God off and on throughout the day.  Sometimes I sing praises.
