http://www.SpeakersGuild.net is in the process of being developed for speakers to join and market themselves a professional speakers. I saw a need within the Toastmasters community because many are excellent speakers and do not charge $5,000 and up like other sites require.
So this site is being developed for the speakers and for those who want to find speakers who are not pricey. The requirement for the site when it goes live this Summer will be that the speakers only charge between $0 and $5,000. Many will be charging much less than $5,000 because they are starting their speaking career.
I have heard many of these individual speak and the truth is they are top notch. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking for a public speaker, or a motivational speaker, or even technical speaker for your event to find just the right one at just the right price.
That is my current project that is a great need out there on both sides of the event planning process.
