Captain Richard Phillips
« on: April 10, 2009, 09:20:38 AM »
Please join us in praying for Captain Phillips, his family and his safe return.

Let's continue to pray about this until he returns. Remember, we serve a mighty God who specializes in miracles.

Lord, We lift Captain Phillips asking you to set your angels about him to protect him and keep him in your comfort and care.  Give him the strength and wisdom to go through this.  We also ask for comfort for the family at this difficult time of waiting and wondering.  Lord, we know you can give them peace that surpasses understanding.

We ask you to bring Captain Phillips home safely and that this hostage situation will be resolved as peacefully as possible.

Thank you Lord!

In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen

Lord, I join with Ro and others who are praying for our fellow countryman.

Lord, if we could be so bold we would ask that you would forgive this Country for turning away from you and stay your mighty Right hand for a season. Grant us the gift of repentence Holy Spirit, Giver of life. For the sake of the few O Lord, forgive the many we pray.

Further, Almighty Father, we would ask of you;
if these evil criminals will not heed your Holy Spirit, nor yield to our Country's demand for his release,
that you would give them what they so richly deserve,
 ... 'and shatter their teeth in their mouth's;
break out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord, and let them flow away like water.'  Ps. 58:6 ...  and then...

 'The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance;  He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
 And men will say,' “Surely there is a reward for the righteous;  Surely there is a God who judges on earth!”

Ps. 58:10,11...

Lord, You are good, and we know your righteousness shall sweep over the land;
And justice shall prevail eventually.

Amen... and Amen... May Your will be done.

I haven't heard all the details yet, but it appears 3 out of the 4 the evil-doers have gone to meet their Maker;

Which of course means, they no longer worship the false god 'Allah', and have now bowed their knee to their
Creator, the Lord Jesus.

All this on Resurrection day no less; how appropriate!

Muhammad's rotting corpse is still in the grave, Jesus is risen and NOW they know who the true God is!   :8

No virgins either, sorry 'bout your luck';  >:( :P  As we all know, the true God gave you opportunity to repent.
   (Ro. 1)

Captain Phillips, I suspect you are a Christian, but if you don't know the Lord, I hope you take this opportunity.
(He did truly 'break off the teeth of your enemies!')    :8   (As we asked.)
I know you are a Hero, and that 'Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends;' Jn.15:13
Which is what you did.

I believe this is more than coincidence, Praise God.    O0

I have a saying that has become somewhat famous in my family: You can't negotiate with 2 year olds, or terrorists; after, let me see, about 9 grand kids, I think I have a right to be called 'an authority' on the subject.

America found this out in the late 1700's not far from the same area where the pirates/terrorists/kidnappers are operating today. After paying ever increasing ransoms for twenty years, the U.S. Government finally came to the same conclusion,
that paying ransoms only encouraged pirating... duh. Unfortunately, this practice is still being carried on today, in this region, so the terrorist/kidnappers become more emboldened, which of course, only leads to more kidnapping.

By the late 1790's America was paying 20% of her revenue to Tripoli. They went to negotiate with the Muslim ambassador from Tripoli who said the Koran gave them the right to plunder and kill infidels, so with increasing support from Secretary of State John Jay & former Presidents George Washington and John Adams, Thomas Jefferson garnered enough support to send in a fledgling outfit called the United States Marines. (and Navy later)

The USS Enterprise was sent in and defeated a 14 gun frigate from Tripoli which was the beginning of the end.
Several more Naval ships were sent in from 1801-1804 in what came to be known as the war of the Barbary Coast.
(North African States)

Nobody dared kidnap an American for quite some time after that. When we we get leaders in Washington who are weak on defense and want to nuzzle up to terrorists like Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama, the terrorists become emboldened to attack us. Bullies only pick on those they perceive to be weak. Their 'Bible', the Koran, teaches them all infidels or non-believers are only worthy of death and they shall have great rewards in heaven for killings us.

The message is: 'Those who don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them.'
We had better not forget '911', this is another reminder.

'From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of TRIPOLI, we will fight our Country's battles on air & land & sea'...

This isn't just a song. It's a real place, with real war, fighting for real Freedom. Unfortunately, it goes on...

There have been just under 13,000 deadly terrorist attacks SINCE '911'.

May God give us the wisdom to negotiate for peace when possible and the fortitude to fight when necessary.
