Well, it depends on who you ask as to whether or not I'm a speaker.  I've preached before and enjoyed it but I haven't preached for some time now.  My wife complains that I'm too rigid in the pulpit.  She used to make fun of how I kept one hand in my pants pocket while I preached. :) 

I've been considering doing some preaching lately, though.  I haven't made up my mind yet.  I want to do some fasting and praying before I decide.  I have several opportunities to speak abroad to pastors and I'm sorely tempted to agree.

But as for offering my services to speak I haven't officially made myself available.

Why haven't you posted your speaking services yet?

There's a time and a place for everything under the sun, Tim. I haven't preached in a long time either. Used to preach monthly services at a mission in Oakland, and then at some churches and other places as well.

Guess I've been on sort of a sabbatical since moving to Boise over 5 years ago. Gave my testimony recently to a group of mostly leaders. I didn't really like that one.

Like you, also, I am so busy with so many things.

There is a wonderful organization founded by Florence Littauer and run by her daughter Marita called ClassServices.com  I don't know if you know who Florence is but she's been around many years as a Christian speaker and author.  Perhaps you have heard of her book:  Silver Boxes.  One of about 30 or 40 books she's had published.  Anyway, this CLASS is an acronym for Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers Services.  They train speakers and writers, give writers opportunities to get their work in front of publishing houses, represent speakers - it's really a wonderful organization.  If anyone is looking to increase their writing or speaking skills, they are top-notch.  Carol Kent, the author of "I Lay My Isaac Down" - the story of how her perfect Christian son was arrested and found guilty of murdering his stepdaughters' father - also mentors speakers with her Speak Up! organization.  She is great too.

Just thought I'd pass those two along.  I have dealt with both of them and they are great professional resources.

Thank you for that recomendation. I went to the site and ordered some of her books and I got her CD on the Silver Boxes.  Listened to it this morning and it was fabulous!  I can't wait to read the books I bought. 

She is really into encouragement, which is my mission in life and I am gathering information for a future presentation I want to do.
