the birds of the field
« on: January 21, 2008, 04:10:37 PM »
I just had something cool happen that I wanted to share --- I throw sunflower seeds on my path in the morning for the birds and the squirrels -----  well after lunch time I looked out my front window for some reason and there was this tiny tiny little bird.  I don't know my birds that well but I  know I had never seen one like this before.  All of the sunflower seeds were long gone and my instinct was to run and get some more so this little tiny bird could eat too.  But as I watched this tiny little bird seemed to find tiny little pieces of food that were left behind that I with the naked eye couldn't even see...............and that reminded me of that verse in the Bible about God supplying all of our needs -- even the sparrows ----- and it also showed me that sometimes those needs are filled by others, like in this case ---- me. The little bird could see what he needed on the path even if others couldn't....and there is something to that as well.........................something God was speaking directly to me....that I haven't figured out yet...

anyway, just wanted to share that.......

an interesting footnote to what I just posted --- I just sat down for a second to read a short story in an angel book I just got -- it's a book on angel encounters -- anyway, I just opened the book and read the one I opened to and it was about a mom and her kids who had no food in the house whatsoever -- but they sat down for dinner and said their blessing anyway and said they wanted to bless the food they were about to eat.....knowing that there was none -- and by the time they said Amen, there was a noise on their porch and when the opened the door there were bags of groceries sitting there............................

I think I finally got the big message - I'm still working on the littler message that God was showing to just me.   But.....I'm a big picture person.  And these two visuals that were given to me today are part of the big picture. It showed that both birds of the field --- and man --all His creations.... WILL be taken care of by Him -- through His working through others -- if we only let Him.

God is so good.  Not only does He take care of us but He gives us a printed book with all His promises to us that He will follow through with His promises.

I am trying to get to the point where I can get happy when "things" happen in my life....because I have an expectation that God is up to something big.  He has a plan and even though I may not understand it, I know it is good for me.

He is faithful and He never leaves us or forsakes us.  He will always give us what we need.  Often times it appears that He is LATE but in hind sight I can see He was late only on my time schedule.  He does have a plan for our lives and He IS working the plan.

Thank you Jesus!
