God has shown us the importance of prayer. Before every revival there has always been a revival of prayer in the body of Christ.
The "great men" of the bible were praying people. God wants to hear from us and He PROMISES that the FERVENT EFFECTUAL PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS AVAILS MUCH. It DOES it truly does!
This is not because we convince God to do things our way. Actually it is much different than that. Prayer is a process through which we humble ourselves and we begin to see things as He does. As this happens then we pray more and more inline with what He wants for us.
In Tampa Bay, and assuredly across the nation, there are prayer meetings popping up all over the place. If your church does not have a prayer meeting during a time when you can attend we would like to suggest a newly developed prayer meeting at "The Light Club" (11St. N & 1st Avenue North). They will be meeting Monday evenings at 7P.M. We must PRAY.
II Chronicles 7:14 states: (Paraphrased) If my people who are called by MY NAME will humble themselves and pray and SEEK my face AND TURN from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins AND heal their land.
It states, IF. IF MY PEOPLE! That sounds like we have a choice. We do. Praise GOD people are coming together in prayer as never before.
We have to HUMBLE ourselves. That sounds like we have a problem with pride. We all do whether we know it or not. We need more and more of the Lord so it can become less and less about us and more and more about HIM.
God wants Florida to Shine, I know He wants the whole world to shine. He wants the whole world to experience the glory of God.
As world events unfold people look for answers and WE know who has the answers.
Prayer ministries that do exist are being developed and new ones are being formed. We do not have to worry about having too many prayer ministries or meetings. We need more! We need MORE!
