Liveprayer.com This month we are featuring Liveprayer.com. It is a local ministry founded by Bill Keller Ministries. The studio, and office of Bill Keller Ministries is located at 6660 46 Avenue North, St. Petersburg. The Lord put it on Bill's heart to take back the internet for Jesus. So Liveprayer.com was born. August 31, 2000 marked one year of existence of such a unique ministry. Liveprayer.com is a free website with free live video. It is ironic that the technology that makes this site tick, specifically the live video online, was developed by those interested in pornography. Blessed be the LORD who can always take Satan's garbage and turn it around for good. It has been a blessing to many. Lives have been changed and miracles have taken place through the contacts that liveprayer.com has made possible. It was a bold vision, doing something never done before. At the time they signed on, Liveprayer.com was the first non-adult Internet site to ever broadcast an actual LIVE video feed 24/7. After one year, they are still the only one. Founded by Bill Keller Ministries, Liveprayer has been a walk of Faith. Keller says. "I really had no idea what God was going to do with this ministry on the Internet, and really was walking by faith. Even though I realized we were going into the enemies territory, actually right through the front door, I wasn't prepared for the level of attacks we would experience". He also said, "God never shows us too much, because He knows how weak we are. He also never asks us to do it ourselves. He simply requires us to be obedient and faithful, and that is the key to following God...be obedient, and be faithful". During this first year, they had over 2 million visitors to their website, www.liveprayer.com . His ministry personally responded to over 1 million email prayer requests. Their Daily Devotional email list went from 0 to over 325,000. Keller says, " I could have never imagined the number of people God would bring to us, and about 25% of those people are from outside the United States representing over 100 countries. God truly blessed the efforts. Even though, only He knows the actual number, we know of over 1,200 people that have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, during our first 12 months." Approximately 15,000 praise reports from all over the world were received from people who were miraculously healed, marriages that were restored, financial miracles that occurred, and every kind of answered prayer you can imagine. As Keller says, "I try to reinforce daily, God not only hears our prayers, but answers them as well! Prayer works!" The Lord has brought local people to join Bill Keller Ministries to share this vision and work at Liveprayer.com. He has a wonderful group of over 30 retired ministers that he oversees who respond to most of the prayer requests they receive, though he still personally responds to over 100 each day. They have incredible men and women of God who have been on-camera ministering to people worldwide on the LIVE prayer feed. Keller's right hand and the man responsible for overseeing all of the technical aspects of Liveprayer.com is David Martin. They also have a small staff in the office that helps keep everything going each day. They also have amazing men and women of God who have invested their personal resources into this work to help people. Keller also gives much credit to his wife, Nana, whom he says, "...has been a true 'helpmeet' and made it possible for me to have the clear mind to face the daily challenges." Many days she is seen sitting with him at his computer caring and sharing in the ministry in his office at liveprayer.com. Keller knows God has brought to him committed, caring, Godly people who have sacrificed much to be part of this ministry. They have answered God's call on their lives to do this work and are the reason Liveprayer.com has been able to provide this incredible amount of ministry 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last year. Keller sent out an anniversary letter of thanks to all those he calls his, ..."new friends the Lord has so graciously given me during this last year". He truly believes it is no accident that the Lord has allowed these lives to cross his during this time. His gratefulness is evident by his statement, "Even though He (the Lord) breathed the vision of Liveprayer into my spirit, it was the incredible kindness and encouragement I received from you (those involved in liveprayer.com) that pulled me through the difficult days and made it possible to keep focused on the work God had given me to do. You were obedient and reached out to me at the exact times the Lord knew I needed some encouragement. I want you to know that it has been a privilege to pray for you, pray with you, stand in agreement with you during those times you needed the Lord to move in your life. Being here for you during those rough times is why I am here each day. It is what God has called me to do. Ministering to you, sharing the love and hope of Christ with you has made my life so fulfilled. The greatest thing we can do in life is to fulfill God's plan for us. Even though I say it often, I really do love you, I do care about you, I do pray for you daily." What a ministry God has begun on the internet. However, we here in Tampa Bay are truly privileged to have this ministry based right here. Keller feels and states, "...this (the internet) is the greatest tool man has ever known to minister to people and to touch lives. Liveprayer.com is continuing to expand the ministry here, to reach as many people as they possibly can each day. As you are aware, I am sure, ministries have many needs. However, many times the biggest challenges in ministry are finances. It has been miraculous how the Lord has provided for this ministry over the last year. Their monthly operating cost due to the high technological expenses incurred from the beginning make this a real need for their ministry.
