Believer's Bay

Believer's Bay

Sharing the Love of God with Common Sense
Moment by Moment
By Tim Russ

It was a moment. Only a moment of weakness.
He was so appealing. I could not resist his beauty.
I fell into his arms, so strong, so alluring.
We became one and I was lost in ecstasy.
Yet, they found us and dragged me out.
Exposed before all for my wickedness.
Why, oh why did I give in?
I knew it was sin.
Death and then God, I have no hope.
I can feel the pain of the stones coming.
God, somehow have mercy on me…a sinner.
I hear voices dying through my tears.
Can it be? My fears will not allow me to look.
Footsteps. They stop. This is the end.
“Woman, where are your accusers?”
“Does no one condemn you?”
His eyes, so stern, so dear. Such beauty.
His arms so strong, so loving.
“No one sir”, I hear my voice crack as I whisper.
“Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
The love, the joy, the hope beyond hope.
God has sent me a deliverer.
