Speak To Your Mountain
By Pastor Len Bellamy
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23 KJV)
"Talk to mountains? Do you think I'm crazy?"
When was the last time someone told you to talk to mountains? Isn't that a little like talking to trees or lakes ? How about the walls?
Hey, I've talked to my dog but never a mountain.
Jesus Talked To Mountains
Jesus talked to things, and taught that "whoever" could also speak to mountains. One of the things I have noticed about the Bible is when it says whoever it includes me.
A mountain is primarily any obstacle that stands in your way.
Faced with obstacles, most Christians pray to God. But Jesus told us to speak directly
to the obstacle and tell it to be removed.
Ah come on, you can't be serious. Talk to mountains??? That's exactly what Jesus said
.... so why does it sound so preposterous then if Jesus said it?
There is nothing wrong with discussing things with God. You should. But when something is blocking your progress -- Jesus said YOU should tell it to get out of the way.
Most Christians just speak to God about the mountain, instead of following Jesus' directions and speaking directly to the mountain.
How many times have heard people pray about something, some illness or some situation in their life that is getting the best of them. God doesn't need to be reminded of what is happening in your life. He is all too well aware of the details of your life. Scripture says He knows the very hairs of your head.
For that matter, when they tell God about the situation they seem to think that they should tell Him over and over again. Maybe just maybe, He might be like this writer and have a good memory but it is short.
Are you just talking to God about the problems in your life, instead of talking directly to the problems and telling them to be removed?
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20 KJV)
According to Jesus, unbelief keeps us from speaking to our mountains.
What is the mountain in your life? What stands in the way of your progress? What holds you back from going forward and fulfilling God's plan? What's keeping you from finding real victory in your life?
Speak God's Word to that mountain!
Speak to the devil and his forces and tell them to get out of your affairs.
Speak to sickness and tell it that it can't stay in your body.
Speak to debt and financial lack and tell them to be removed from your life.
Speak to doubt, fear, and worry and tell them to be gone.
If you say, "I just can't believe it would do any good for me to talk to problems," that's why you still have them.
Read what Jesus said again, and again.
Every time I put Jesus' words into actual practice, I am amazed how it works.
I found out again how well this works when I do it. A huge financial situation that has been bothering me these past few months (yep, I have been bogged down with worry) has been getting the best of me. But I spoke to the financial situation and told it that it had to go - that my God had the resources - and that Satan was not going to prevent me from receiving my blessing.
Well, only about an hour before I penned this article, I found out the problem had been solved - the finances were there to cover the huge debt.
Does it work? Of course it does! Jesus told me how to speak to mountains and have them be completely gone.
