In my job as editor of Believer’s Bay I get a whole lot of email. No email touches me so much as email from my granddaughter and grandson. I start to tear up when they write me and express their tiny thoughts from their little minds.
My grandson will read the USA Today for his daddy’s great pleasure and astonishment. It makes me puff with pride every time, he endeavors to be all grown up reading the tabloid, and I will admit a few buttons pop off when I see him at the computer with so much attention and diligent observation skills.
Yet it is my granddaughter that sends me shrieking for the crying towel. When she says how much she misses me and questions when I will return; I have to hold back a tear and speak about the distance and health issues that strangle my resolve to visit them again and again. Both grandchildren send me to Heart Warmer’s Anonymous seeking comfort.
Dear Grandpa,
I luv you so much when are you coming back here to my house I miss you so much . You are my favorite grandpa.
I love you so much please come back to us and play with my toys.
Love Breanna
