| Go and Tell This month’s theme is missionary minded. Go and tell. The subject of this sentence is (you understood) and the verb is tell. If your denomination or church teaches that they are the true church and everyone else is wrong …if they are the only ones who have the revelation of God… then …WATCH OUT YOU ARE INVOLVED IN A CULT. The Bible says we are part of a universal church which has the whole message. There should be one viable theme and that should be Jesus Christ the King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords, and that believing in His name is all that I need to enter heaven. Our minds can hardly comprehend this subtle fact. The more we hunger after the word; the more we seek to get into the presence of God; the more Light we will have. God, however, has so much more then we can ever know. Often things are glimpses of the truth. I remember going to a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting one night. I remember watching the people as they entered the auditorium that night in June in Niagara Falls on the American side. I remember the dress she wore; a light mauve colored evening gown that looked fine enough for a servant of the Lord like she was. I remember saying to myself that she was not that good looking of a woman and I was a bit disappointed… until she opened her mouth. She spoke funny; sort of haltingly, and it was as if she had a totally different way with the English language. She was different that night from what I had seen on television or heard on radio. She was going and telling what she was told to do. Her job was an emphasis on the Holy Spirit. She made Him seem so much more real than I had ever heard anyone else do before. This third person of the Trinity was real and undeniable for those of us there in the auditorium that night. He longs for fellowship with us…to minister to us in a distinctly different way. I really do not care about her clothing which some people take great pains to criticize. It is far too trivial compared to what I saw that followed that night. It seemed like our whole church went that night to see the famous lady from Pittsburgh. We brought two of our members to the auditorium that night and had to make special arrangements because they were in wheelchairs. These friends of mine joined the hundred or so other “rolling seats” already present in the wheelchair section. As I saw hundreds healed; I became a believer. Before that night was over I was asking the Lord to stop the miracles among the crippled folks, because I could not take anymore healings; including the friends I had brought with me. Yes that is correct! There was so many healings that I was afraid for my life because of the miracles. There was such a demonstration of healing that I have never seen since. These were my friends who got healed Greater things shall I do…and we shall do …and all Christians can do if we will just go and tell the story about Jesus. Do you want to see more miracles in your life? Then let Jesus make a passionate reporter out of you and be afraid of nothing. Go and tell as many people as you can what God has done in your life. You will see more than you can handle. |
