Many say they want to power of God to come down.  They want to see it.  They want to feel it.

God says in the bible that He tests us in giving us a small amounts of responsibility to see if we can handle that before He gives us more; He says if we can not be faithful in LITTLE, He will not give us MUCH. 

We say we want the power of God to come down, to show up, but as a child of God we have already been given an earnest of the power of God.  We have God within us if  we are a child of God and we have surrendered our lives to Him. 

What have we done with the LITTLE that He has given us?

When we are at work and someone is gossiping about someone else, do we stop them and say, politely, I would rather not hear that, or do we keep listening? 

When we are telling someone facts about a situation, do we pad it in our favor? That is lying if we do not tell the whole  truth and only the truth.

When we are given more change than we deserve at the store, do we tell the clerk, or do we walk away and say this is just a blessing from God? It is stealing if we take something that is not ours.

When we are standing in the line at the store and there is a problem with the order of the person in front of us, what do we do?  Do we get upset and speak our mind, move our purchases to another line in an arrogant way, or do we stand there, if we have the time to do so, showing kindness to the person in spite of the situation?  It is OK to move to a different line if our attitude is right and we do not spout off at them was we leave. This can be an awesome witness to people as they see a patient person next to them.

God has given us the spirit of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND.  We have been given access to the power of God.  We need to start LETTING it flow.  We are given the power of God for it to flow THROUGH us!  This is so we can be a blessing to others.  The power of God will enable us to love others and this will maintain within us a sound mind. 

As we use the power that God has available for us, we will begin to see more opportunities to use it in our lives.  The power of God to overcome the enemy starts with the renewing of our minds in Christ Jesus.  We MUST realize that the battle begins in the mind.  We must realize that keeping our composure when someone has mistreated us, while it can be extremely difficult, it can be done, with the power of God.  This is how we fulfill the scripture to be overcomers in our walk towards perfection.  We will not be totally perfect in this life.  As long as we have this flesh, we will have the battles; however, with the power of God in us we can be well on  the road to the time when our Lord returns and says to us "Well done thy good and faithful servant".
