Agape - God's Love!

There are three levels of love.  The first level is the most carnal love, it is all about physical attraction.  The second level is about family love or brotherly love.  The third level of love is Agape, which is God's love.  This is the kind of love that is the hardest for us to function with in our carnal, physical lives.  However, it is possible. 

It will take effort to move up through each of these love levels.  The first level is easy in that it comes from a physical desire and attraction.  The second level is when we have developed brotherly love for others.  This can be in our family both physical and spiritual family, such as our church family.  This kind of love is about caring but also forgiveness, like is required in families.  We don't always exhibit this kind of love in our physical families or our spiritual families.  The third level of love is the Agape love.  This is the kind of love that God has for us.  It is unconditional love.  It is love filled with forgiveness, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, balance, and self-control.

The Lord also wants us all to be people of prayer.  We need to be intercessors.  When we pray for others we ARE intercessors.  We don't need a degree or a certificate to be qualified to intercede for others.  It is not magical, it is just prayers of faith.   

This month and each month in 2006 we have a sub theme of "Pray My Children Pray".  That is the Lord's heart.  He wants us to pray, so we do our part and then He has permission to intervene in our lives and in the lives of others that we are praying for.  

Remember, Jesus IS Lord!
